Update 37: Lyndelby Housing

Update 37 boasts the addition of Lyndelby Housing, our first inclusion of hobbit Premium Housing in the Lord of the Rings Online.

Premium Housing provides luxurious homes with wider variety and a greater number of decoration hooks and types for purchase using either Mithril Coins or Premium Housing Writs. Note, you cannot mix the two currencies. Unlike Classic Housing, you can own as many Premium Houses as you like, in addition to being able to keep your classic Personal House. Upkeep fees are waived for VIPs, unlike Classic Houses.

When available for preview on Bullroarer, LOTRO’s public testing server, Lyndelby Housing will be accessible via the Brokers Office in Bree or via a gate south of Lyndelby in the Wells of Langflood.

Release Date: TBD

A release date has yet to be announced, though we anticipate mid to late August!

Prices

Prices are placeholders at the moment, though the final prices are expected to be pretty close to Bullroarer prices.

House Types

• 4 Base Smials
• 6 Deluxe Smials
• 1 Stately Base Smial
• 1 Stately Deluxe Smial
• 1 Kinship Smial

Hooks

Stately houses offer mobile housing hooks, as they are separated from the rest of the homestead, allowing more freedom with placement. They also have special features, in the case of the Stately Deluxe an interior body of water/“swimming pool”, and an eerie cave with a view into Goblin Town in the Stately Base.

This housing update introducers fence hooks which will allow you to choose the bounds of your property!

Housing Decorations

Update 37 will introduce around 160 housing decorations, with a market-theme. The furnishers have been updated.

• Doormats will be usable on furniture hooks.
• Small rugs will be usable on doormat hooks.
• Floor hooks will be consolidated with Furniture hooks.
• Firepits will accept Furniture and Yard items.
• Yard hooks will accept Furniture decorations and Furniture hooks will accept Yard decorations.
